I Wonder

I wonder if you stop and just listen

to what might have been?

to what will never become

to that song that remains unsung

to the story still untold.

I am locked in that past

unable to get out of here

I can't find a key to the door

You struggled out a long time ago

I'm glad you did

even if I'm still in that past

You go on don't look back

It's not a pretty sight

don't look back

You might get caught

in that story or song

so keep going or

you might start to wonder
